PARENTAL SUPPORT
BI-WEEKLY CONFERENCE CALL
We will hold a Parental Support Group Conference Call Every other Tuesday at 8pm beginning on May 1st.
We will hold this call to answer questions from parents who are raising black boys, no topic is too sensitive. We will have all resources on deck to help you raise, protect and advocate for your son. You can remain anonymous if need be.

Our Mission
To build families by developing leaders, fathers, husbands and scholars by educating at-risk boys and young men on the responsibilities of manhood; and to teach them how their positive development and choices will have a profound impact on the quality of living for the women and children in their lives and in their respective communities.

SURVIVAL, SUCCESS AND LEADERSHIP
TRAINING SERIES
The Strengthening Families through Fatherhood Initiative encompasses a group of trainings and workshops that examine what needs to be done to ensure that fathers are included in child care and family support work. It looks at the role of fathers (young vulnerable fathers, working fathers, separated fathers) in families and talks about the presence and importance of fathers in their children’s lives. The program seeks to enable men to become ‘good enough’ fathers and promote the safety and welfare of all family members. Survivor, Success & Leadership and the Survivors to Providers Awareness training programs are part of this overall initiative.

ABOUT THE MANUAL
The material within the pages of the SSL training manual is NOT taught in any public school system in this country! This manual was developed to educate black males on the importance of who they are, where they come from, and how to get to their desired destination in life. In order for a black male in America to be successful and lead, HE MUST FIRST LEARN HOW TO SURVIVE! Our boys experience unfair treatment, pain, frustration, and anger that can often times consume them. The SSL training manual is designed to train black males by using the essential strategy of EMPOWERMENT!
SSL training will empower trainees to achieve, resolve problems and construct a strong working direction for their lives and for everyone’s lives for whom they will be responsible.
